IGLP Theory Retreat

One distinct feature of IGLP is its systematic and constant commitment to critical and theoretical engagement. IGLP and its scholarship aims at pushing academic frontiers, sometimes demolishing, sometimes reconfiguring disciplinary and intellectual borders and boundaries. Theoretical refinement, the idea of looking at things from different and unusual angles in order to understand them better, is nothing given, but rather the outcome of continuous efforts and interactions. IGLP has been organizing occasional retreats with such pursuits: how to get to a better theory? This year, the IGLP Theory Retreat included IGLP Faculty – David Kennedy, Sheila Jasanoff, Duncan Kennedy, Dan Danielsen, Martti Koskeniemi, Mikhail Xifaras, and Guenter Frankenberg.
