Crunching the Core

We are returning for a new semester/season of Crunching the Core. As in the fall, this winter/spring we will attempt to bring some familiar (and some new) texts to bear on contemporary issues.
Our next session will take place on Friday, February 24th at 10:00-11:30 EST. In this session, we will discuss liberal democracy and its others in civilizational discourse, using the critical moves of discourse analysis and mapping the field.
Leading us will be Scott Newton and John Haskell. They will be setting up our discussion of the following texts:

- Walter Mignolo, The Politics of Decolonial Investigation (2021)
- Jacques Derrida, Rogues: Two Essays in Reason (2005)
