Reading Group on Law, History, and Literature

The aim of the reading was to explore interdisciplinary approaches to international law by engaging in a close reading of classic texts from the fields of history and literary studies. The reading group offered participants the opportunity to develop new critical insights into their own work individually and opened up opportunities for new, collaborative work. The work of the reading group culminated in the two-day workshop “Authorising the South” organized in December 2016. Participants of the reading group included Sundhya Pahuja, Adil Hasan Khan, Deval Desai, Christopher Gevers, Afroditi Giovanopoulou, Liliana Obregon, Lucie White, and Helena Alviar.
