IGLP Colloquium

IGLP is first and foremost a global network of like-minded scholars who share a commitment towards heterodoxy. Periodically, IGLP organises a series of global and regional events to bring together different members of the network around themes and projects. One such events is the Colloquium. On August 22^nd-26^th, 2018, IGLP, in association with the Universidad de los Andes, organised a Colloquium in Bogotá (Colombia) with the twofold aim of exploring how IGLP’s shared intellectual traditions might inform thinking about policy and how the diverse “local” experiences and knowledge arising within the network could be better mobilised for understanding and mapping the way our many “local” realities product and interact with the “global”. The three-days Colloquium combined plenary discussion on broader themes with more specific working group sessions on property, trade, society, family, and informality. The aim of the overall exercise was to enhance our ability to bring diverse intellectual and geographical traditions into a common picture of the legal work.
