The Institute for Global Law and Policy, along with Harvard Law School, Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, Fundación Universitaria Española, and IGLP Sponsor Real Colegio Complutense, will co-sponsor and international workshop entitled The Death Penalty: Modern Research Perspectives (History, Law, Politics).  The workshop takes place in WCC 3018, on June 2nd, 2014, from 9 am to 6:30 pm.

The event promises to be a, “Day of discussion on the death penalty by experts and scholars to RCC fellows and associates, professors, students of Harvard Law School and other relevant schools and centers of Harvard University.  There will be an academic discussion about the origins of the death penalty, its evolution and its modern day implications and other key questions related to capital punishment. We will also study the parallel Euro-American systems and the progress of the abolition process.”
