The IGLP roundtables explored issues of power, law, and political economy in global affairs, in particular the way new digital technologies are impacting patterns of dominance and inequality. Prof. Frank Pasquale from the University of Maryland, Corey School of Law lead the discussion on September 16, 2019. Among other things, he is the author of The Black Box Society (Harvard University Press, 2015) and his scholarship has been inquiring the legal implications of artificial intelligence, algorithms, and machine learning.
